Flashback time this Monday morning. Hearing about Billie Jean King‘s commencement speech yesterday got me in a nostalgic mood, I guess. While she was hitting tennis balls around at the conclusion of her talk, this song was played. Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote “Philadelphia Freedom” for King and the tennis team she formed in 1974. That team is still around, competing in World TeamTennis, a co-ed professional tennis league. Pretty cool.
