I reviewed Lydia Millet’s Pills and Starships last week. One of the things I liked about the book is that music is important to the protagonist Nat. Brain Eno, in particular, is one of her favorites.
He’s one of my favorites, too. Here he is with one of the songs that Nat makes note of, “Backwater.” It’s from his 1977 album Before and After Science.
Another track Nat comments on is one I’d never heard. I glad she (and Ms. Millet) turned me on to it. Here are the Mekons with “Ghosts of American Astronauts.” This one’s from 1988.
One of my favorites too.
That whole album is great. Well, all of his albums are. 🙂
