I asked Alpha Reader what he wanted to hear on Monday Morning Music this week and he suggested the Austin Lounge Lizards. They’ve been one of our favorite bands for years and I was pleased to discover that, although there have been some changes in their line-up, the band is still together.
I chose ALL’s video for their song “Too Big To Fail” today. Seemed appropriate, given it’s been five years since Wall Street crashed the economy. The puff pieces about the bailout, etc., on NPR were driving me nuts last week. Nice to get a little perspective. The video also includes Tom Pittman, who was one of the band’s co-founders and their banjo player until his retirement in 2011.
