Monday Morning Music

A new weekly feature here at M. Fenn’s place: music videos! The idea came to me after receiving a mix cd from a friend  and joining a music swap club (at the invitation of the another friend) recently. There’s something about sharing music that makes me happy, whether I’m giving or receiving it. As George Eliot said:

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

So every Monday I’ll now be sharing music with you. The parameters are broad for this experiment: pretty much any song that grabs me that I can find a watchable video for. The possibilities are great. And if you want to share a video in the comments, please do! I’d love to hear what you’re into. If I really dig it, it could become a Monday Morning Music post in its own right.

For today’s inaugural Monday Morning Music post I bring you Kristin Andreassen with “Crayola Doesn’t Make A Color For Your Eyes,” a song that’s on that mix cd I was talking about. I love the lyrics, the tune is catchy as all get-out, and the kids in this video are adorable. Enjoy!

I’m glad this song resurfaced as I was putting together that mix. It really grabbed me when I first got the CD several years ago.

    I like this feature. 🙂

I’ll reply with another tune that makes children tolerable:
